Seijinshiki marks the transition into adulthood at age twenty (and, in recent years, eighteen). It is a time to reflect on growth with gratitude and step forward with renewed independence. Women traditionally wear furisode, the most formal kimono for unmarried women, while men wear montsuki. The expressive beauty of furisode allows us to create an ensemble that reflects each celebrant’s personality.
